🥁Sketchnote on how to take notes
Learning from the author of book Limitless and memory expert, Jim Kwik I sketchnoted his method of taking effective notes. The technique that won’t help you in taking notes better but becoming better !
Most of the times we take notes and it just lies on post its or in books. The real learning will only happen when we put them in practice. Here I am talking about life lessons and not Math or Science problems.
It’s a 3 step process
Start by drawing a line in the middle of page
Capture key notes on the left side
Write 3 questions on the right once you are done taking all key notes on left (this part is all about reflection of what you read/studied/learnt)
How can I use this?
Why must I use this?
Where will I use this?
Figuring out the what, why, and when of using new information gives you the best chance of getting real value out of what you've learned.
The technique is more of a framework than actual notes. You can either write text based notes or create a sketchnote. I found combining Sketchnotes with this framework can do wonders.
The power of visualisation (manifestation) combined with the power of practice.
I put this technique to use listening to discourse of Bhagwad Geeta. And here are my notes.
Share your thoughts in the comments.
That’s all I have for today.
Have a wonderful week ahead Sketchnoting.
